Publieke programma AIFW bekend

Zaterdagochtend om half 10 werd op station Amsterdam Centraal het Down Town programma (het publieke gedeelte) van de AIFW gepresenteerd. Aangezien zaterdagochtend half 10 niet echt een christelijk tijdstip is, zeker niet als je de avond daarvoor je eigen afstudeerfeest hebt gevierd, was ik er niet bij. Daarom voor deze keer even een cut and paste uit het persbericht.

In samenwerking met de NS is op zaterdag 12 juli 2008 op spectaculaire wijze het openbare programma 'Down Town' en de modekrant 'Fashion Weekly' van de Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW) gelanceerd. Perron 2b op station Amsterdam Centraal werd voor korte tijd omgetoverd tot catwalk. Claes Iversen, Percy Irausquin, Individuals by AMFI, Haruco-vert en Antoine Peters gaven hier alvast een preview van hun nieuwe collectie, die tijdens AIFW op de catwalk wordt geshowd.

Een groot deel van het 'Down Town' programma is openbaar en kan door iedereen bezocht worden. (Het is een hele waslijst met activiteiten dus zorg ervoor dat je vanaf volgende week een lege agenda hebt. )

1) Filmtheater Kriterion presents: Fashion In Film

During AIFW there will be the SPR ARCHIVE installation on display at the SPRMRKT. Old and new fashioned
garments are revised. Images on posters reflect and highlight the different journeys of the clothes within
the framework of the SPRMRKT. The SPR ARCHIVE installation is made by Anne Stooker and Elisa
