    Press release
    Amsterdam, May 23 2007

Modefabriek joins Off Schedule edition 2:
    20th July, Krasnapolsky Amsterdam.

Saturday evening the 19th of January. People lined up in a row of over one hundred metres before the Koepelkerk in Amsterdam. The capital has a new fashion event: Off Schedule. Urban fashion underground, celebrities and fashion professionals come together on one of the most memorable events during the fashion week. Those present watch eight shows from designers like Truus Trendy, Blazin’ Bell, Your cup of T and Bas Kosters.

Organized as a half-yearly event, Off Schedule becomes a sequel on the 20th of July next. During the Amsterdam International Fashion Week in July 2007
Off Schedule again presents a pattern-card of the best innovative fashion designers of this moment. Including established names and new talent.

‘Off Schedule is the kind of fashion event Amsterdam needs, but didn’t have until now. Off Schedule emphasizes designers with a do it yourself mentality…’, intermediary and consultancy firm for the fashion branch HTNK.

In Off Schedule several parties work together. Among which CODE magazine, HTNK, D’Estilo and recently the Modefabriek, the biggest fashion fair in the Netherlands. The event is organized as a platform in which professionals connect to the fashion underground. Off Schedule doesn’t bring haute couture. Off Schedule shows the vitality of the international urban youth culture with a selection of talented designers. Designers who frequently get their inspiration from daily live and the night life culture. Designers who catch the rawness of the street and combine it with poetic beauty as easy as with a portion of obscenity.

‘Off Schedule is an initiative of parties which have earned their place in the fashion industry…’ Bregje Lampe about the first edition of Off Schedule in Het Parool.

Some of the designers who will present themselves during the second edition of Off Schedule are Merel Boers (winner of the BLVD Fashion Award 2006), Bas Kosters, LEW, And Beyond and Elisa Marchesini.

Besides fashion the second edition of Off Schedule offers a unique exhibition store.

Admission is for those on the guest list only. Who wants to receive an invitation, can register via http://www.offschedule.nl and be put on the mailinglist.
